{"id":260,"date":"2023-03-07T17:28:52","date_gmt":"2023-03-07T17:28:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/74.208.214.22\/aarg.club\/?page_id=11"},"modified":"2025-04-10T19:22:53","modified_gmt":"2025-04-10T19:22:53","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/aarg.club\/index.php\/about-us\/","title":{"rendered":"About Us"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Aurora Amateur Radio Group is a licensed radio club based in the state of Kansas in the USA <em>(Callsign: <a href=\"https:\/\/wireless2.fcc.gov\/UlsApp\/UlsSearch\/license.jsp?licKey=4984935\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AA4RG<\/a>)<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0We are also registered as a Non-Profit Corporation.\u00a0\u00a0Our organization was created to bring new and seasoned amateur radio operators into one fold through our desire to serve.\u00a0\u00a0We have come together to bring our experience, knowledge and wisdom into a long time hobby with the focus of expanding one&#8217;s understanding of it, as well as providing a solid foundation for those who have an interest in getting their amateur radio license. We were one of the first clubs to offer remote ham license exams.<br><br>We remain focused in greeting newcomers to our great hobby by offering them a warm welcome into the ham radio family and are steadfast in providing help when they need it.\u00a0\u00a0Very few groups like this are in existence today and we are proud to be among the few offering such a unique service.\u00a0\u00a0We became a club on September 10th, 2016 and our club call, WL7CXY was issued to us on September 19th, 2016.\u00a0\u00a0Our current club call, AA4RG was issued by the FCC on July 23rd, 2024.
