January 2021 by the Numbers

After two months of incredible service, the Aurora Amateur Radio Group has some very amazing numbers to report.  In the month of January, the Aurora Amateur Radio Group VE team has achieved the following:

Number of applications received:    126
Number of exam sessions:    13
Number of examinees for January 2021:    99
Number of examinations administered in January 2021:    121
Total amount of monetary donations from examinees in January 2021:    $370.00

Considering the size of our VE team, we have truly accomplished a lot this past month.  We have done several zero-to-hero applicants, welcomed a multitude of new operators into the amateur radio service and made some new friends along the way.  It is apparent our numbers don't mean very much to groups processing hundreds of applicants per month, or even per week.  We do understand that.  Where the Aurora Amateur Radio Group stands out in any crowd is our willingness to do something other groups fail to even consider.  We go the extra mile to ensure they are the most informed, connected and well respected individuals from start to finish.

What this means is we are transparent in making sure each applicant knows when to join us on exam day.  This also means we ensure they have all the resources necessary to make informed decisions on where to turn after their license is issued.  We welcome them to join us for Q&A on any of the platforms we have available to the general public.  We do more than just give exams.  We treat each applicant like family and offer our time to elmer them well beyond exam day.  As we have mentioned before, the Aurora Amateur Radio Group is assuredly proud of the numbers we have achieved, but the numbers don't matter to us.  We're not focused on quantity.  We are focused on quality, from start to finish.

To make this work, we have a very dedicated group of Volunteer Examiners who dedicate countless hours of their time to carry the torch and give others the best service out there, bar none.  To that end, I want to extend a huge "thank you" to all of the incredible men and women in our Volunteer Examiner cadre.  Without each and every one of you, this would not work as well as it has.  Our examinee testimonials are a direct reflection of the awesome service we are providing to our great country.  Keep up the great work!
