VE Program Adjusts Recruiting Focus

Earlier this morning, the Aurora ARG VE Program released an update regarding incoming VE applications to serve as a remote VE.  Effective today, the Aurora ARG VE Program is ***ONLY*** accepting new applications to join our program from those who physically reside in the following locations:

      a.)  anyone living in the Mountain Time Zone;

      b.)  anyone living in the Pacific Time Zone;

      c.)  anyone living in Alaska, American Samoa, Guam, Hawaii or the Northern Mariana Islands.

We are looking for applicants who are in the aforementioned areas as part of our long term plan to add more sessions that meet the needs for examinees living on the west coast and Pacific.  Any applications that have been submitted for service as a remote VE prior to this date will be processed normally.  More information on joining our VE Program can be found by going to https://auroraveprogram.org/join.htm.

Our long term plan is to allow more convenient times for others, as opposed to making it easier for applicants on the east coast.  We believe that our service to amateur radio should be inclusive, approachable and most importantly, flexible to those we are serving.  By growing our program through recruitment from the above areas, we are poised to have greater capacity in the number of sessions offered and also grow our schedule too.  We will stop at nothing to keep the momentum going.  We thank all of you for your service!
