Dated: November 1st, 2021

October brought a small decrease in the number of examinees, however it didn't dampen our spirits.  With that, here are some numbers as of 11:59pm Alaska Time on Sunday, October 31st, 2021:

Number of examinees tested as of October 31st, 2021:    974
Number of exam sessions in October 2021:    9
Total number of examinations administered since December 2020:    1,118

We are nearing our milestone of 1,000 examinees!  As of today, we anticipate reaching this goal in the next two weeks.  The Aurora Amateur Radio Group looks forward to reaching this milestone.  It truly comes as a result of dedication, service, professionalism and a desire to serve the underserved  It's that simple.

October brought some fixes and enhancements to HamExamGen, our in house exam platform!  We did some cleaning to the user interface, made the VE admin portal fully compatible for screen readers and we now offer a practice exam generator!  Are you feeling froggy and want to see if you still have what it takes to pass each element?  Give our practice exam generator a whirl by clicking HERE.

The month of November is going to be an exciting month for us in the development and addition of some final touches that will enhance the exam service we proudly offer to the public.  Also, we are implementing a new schedule that takes effect on December 1st, 2021 and a separate blog post will come very soon!  As we continue to approach the holiday season, our focus on becoming a new VEC still remains in the spotlight.  For those who have supported us with financial contributions, we thank you!  It means a lot to us.

In closing, we find our service to be the honour of a lifetime and look forward to another great month.  Thank you all for your service as Volunteer Examiners and for those who have chosen us to receive their exams!  We can't do it without you!
