I had an issues with my second device connecting, I checked everything 15 minutes before test time and it worked. The VEs allowed me the time to get the second device working with out feeling pressured or on a time limit. It was only a reboot of my phone but right before the test was a little nerve-racking. I felt adequately prepared, however, I did make it a point to understood the instructions both on their website and in the emails sent after signing up. It was the lead VE’s first time being a lead in the virtual room I was testing. He needed some ques from the other VEs at times but everything still went extremely smooth. Initially I found the exam instructions quite daunting with strict rules considering I have taken a lot of remote exams. Even the complicated technical portions, i.e. multimonitor zooms switching in and out of various rooms, everything worked perfectly and no “technology stress” was endured. That alone is remarkable! The proctors were all human, if you will, which helped extinguish any anxieties as far as asking questions or seeking clarification. Oh, and did I mention the process was FREE? Wow. A huge thanks to your organization and the fine men/women who have worked to establish such a successful procedure. I found the correspondence to be timely, direct, and free of ad-lib. Everything I received was pertinent and to the point. It is a difficult thing to do, to write instructions a person won’t just skim over. There was knowledge or instruction in each paragraph and each of my own questions were answered in reviewing such. The zoom time was punctual and the technology worked great. The entire experience was A+, I am grateful. Thank you.

This was a very positive exam experience, and I would definitely direct anyone looking for a remote exam to AARG. Everyone involved clearly endeavored to make the remote exam process as painless as possible. As a first responder, I especially appreciate the effort to provide VE sessions at no cost to first responders and those with military service.
If pressed to come up with criticism, I would have only two minor comments. First, I still had to do some camera tweaking once in the exam room. It would have been helpful if ES&S had picked up on the video quality issue before I was sent into the exam room, but I certainly understand how it would be hard to pick up on this with a number of examinees to process through.
Also, the exam website worked fine, but having used the examtools.org platform for an in-person VE session, I found that one to be a little more user friendly.
